Cook it on the grill and it’s even better. Recently, I was a little hungry for some shrimp. The local grocery store had fresh, large gulf shrimp on sale, so the timing was perfect to test another recipe.

The recipe below is a winner! The first shrimp I tried right off the grill made me go, “Wow, that’s awesome!”

There were a number of friends and family that were happy taste testers and every single ne of them loved this shrimp. I like a charred flavor to it, so I had my grill rather hot, 400 degrees. The shrimp sizzled when they hit the hot grill and I cooked them long enough to get a little char to them. The flavor combination was simply fantastic.

Grilled Shrimp that will make you say “Wow!”

Prep Time: 10-15 minutes

Ready in: about 1 hr 15 minutes

Ingredients:

1 lb. large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 ½ tsp. minced garlic or 2 garlic cloves, minced

1/3 c. extra virgin olive oil

¼ c. tomato sauce

2 tbs. red wine vinegar

2 tbs. fresh basil, chopped

½ tsp. salt

¼ tsp. cayenne pepper

4-5 skewers

Directions:

1.
